Sitara Kabuli Channa Chick Peas

The SITARA Chick Peas or Kabuli Chana is one of the most versatile and used item in the family. It has a low fat content but is boosted with vegetable proteins and dietary fibers and it has an interesting content of calcium, iron and folate. It is gluten free.
This legume is very popular from the Mediterranean all the way back to the Far East where it is used in many ways. You will find it in Humus and Falafel, baked, fried, in soups, in salads and cooked recipes it is a staple in all the continents. It is popular with the Indian and Pakistani cuisine under the Channa name. Other appellation used are Gram, Garbanzo etc.
